The entire neighbourhood was alive with bright fairy lights, the rich aroma of fresh steamed modaks, and the unmistakable, festive energy of Ganesh Chaturthi. ​For years, the family had celebrated Bappa’s arrival in Thane, but this year felt different. In the weeks leading up to the festival, life had felt overwhelming—full of endless routines, constant rush-hour commutes, and the quiet pressure of everyday responsibilities. But the moment the idol was carefully uncovered, bringing Bappa into the brightly decorated home, a profound sense of calm settled over the house. ​Every morning began with the warmth of the camphor flame during the aarti, the soft chime of hand bells, and prayers spoken not for grand miracles, but simply for peace, strength, and health for loved ones. Friends, relatives, and neighbors dropped by throughout the days, sharing sweets, laughter, and stories of celebrations past.
