The Art of Sculpting Bappa

There's a little piece of my heart that comes alive every Ganesh Chaturthi. I was just 11 when I first sat down with some clay and tried to make Bappa. I didn't know what I was doing. My hands were inexperienced, my idol was far from perfect, but the feeling I had when I finally looked at Him was something I had never felt before. Since then, every Bappa has carried a little more of me. Some years brought happiness, some brought struggles, some brought moments when I questioned myself. But whenever I sat down to create Him, everything else seemed to disappear. It was just me, my clay, and Bappa. Somehow, those quiet hours became my therapy, my peace, and my wayof talking to Him without saying a word. Today, I'm 21, and this is my 10th Bappa. Looking at Him, I don't feel like I've made ten idols. I feel like Bappa has watched me grow for ten years. From a little boy with clay covered hands to who I am today... Maybe I made Bappa every year, but somewhere along the way, Bappa made me too. Ganpati Bappa Morya!🌺
