The ganpati
The Ganpati at our home is dressed in bright yellow and embroidered red cloth, wearing an ornate golden crown. We adorned Bappa with strings of marigolds, white blossoms, durva grass, and a garland of currency notes. His little mouse sits by his feet next to the holy coconut kalash and boxes of sweets offered before him. Behind the idol, we arranged a backdrop of floral fabric and colourful drapery. This is how we welcomed Bappa into our home with great devotion and joy.
