Celebrating Ganesh festival in Malvan
I belong to Konkan coast Malvan , where Ganesh festival is just not a mere celebration but it’s weaved with emotions, tradition, culture and divinty. Kokan has history before lokmanya Tilak’s started sarvajanik festival. Since 1906, kokan people started celebrating Ganesh festival in their homes by bringing their beloved ganapti bappa as their own family member. Yes!! And it was in sawantwadi. Where I was fortunate enough to be born. And the beauty of this place is it’s still raw, untouched by commercial celebration and pure which can only be feel. Ganpati Bappa Morya!!
