50 years of our Bappa's celebration

Feeling very nostalgic. Don't know what to share. We started our Ganapati Bappa festival when we were in school. Few of our close friends thought of it. That is why our Mandal is known as Sobhani Mitra Mandal. Over a period of time our Mandal received recognition by people around Colaba. Now it has grown bigger and better. Normally we never exceeded the height of our Ganapati Bappa every year above 6 feet, but this being our 50th year members agreed to bring 9 feet. Our decorator from Lalbaug Mr Amit Parab did a marvelous job. The decor was appreciated by one and all. We have constructed Rameshwaram temple and our Ganapati Bappa Idol has been brought from Pen. Request everyone to visit our Mandal at Sobhani road, Cuffe Parade to get a positive vibe and feel of our Idol and decor. K.Niranjan President
