My Ganpati bappa
My Ganpati bappa sits gracefully on a throne with a multi-headed serpent hood behind him, framed by pink and blue pleated drapes. He is dressed in bright yellow and red robes with flower garlands around his neck, looking out over the floral printed stage. In front of him, we placed a burning brass oil lamp, a decorated kalash, and plates of colourful puja offerings on a low wooden table. Standing before him with folded hands in quiet prayer, this is how we welcomed Bappa into our home this year.
