My experience with ganpati
For our entry titled My experience with ganpati, our Bappa sits on a grand carved throne with peacock designs on both sides. The large idol is dressed in a bright pink dhoti with golden borders and wears a long garland of fresh red roses. A smaller Ganpati idol sits in front on a carved wooden seat upon the red carpet, all lit by a gentle purple glow from the surrounding decorated pavilion. This is how we welcomed Bappa into our celebration.
