My childhood memory of Ganesh utsav
My family lived in a rented apartment that's why we were not able to bring bappa home but our neighbors used to bring bappa for 11 days. Lot's of fun and games. We used to make modaks and do decorations for them. At 7 pm Aarti time we all used to gather together at their home and do puja ending with the prashaad of Modak. While saying goodbye to bappa at visarjan something in our heart felt empty. What I liked about it was even tho it was not our home's ganpati but the entire society was invested to do seva of ganpati bappa.
