Its a Three Days of the Festival Gauri Avahan (Day 1): The Goddess is ceremonially welcomed and invited into the home, often marked by footprints drawn from the entrance to the altar, accompanied by the gentle ringing of bells or beating of traditional utensils. Gauri Pujan (Day 2): The main day of worship where the Goddess (represented via metal/clay face masks, pebbles, or images depending on family traditions) is adorned in a new saree and jewelry, and offered a grand Naivedya, typically featuring 16 traditional vegetarian delicacies. Gauri Visarjan (Day 3): The final day of emotional farewell and symbolic immersion, where women offer prayers, tie sacred turmeric-dyed threads (Gauriche dore) with 16 knots for prosperity, and bid adieu to the deity. The Tradition : Gauri is treated like a beloved daughter returning to her parental home (maher) from her husband Lord Shiva's abode, bringing warmth, joy, and agricultural prosperity to the household
