30 Years of Ganeshotsav – A Tradition of Faith, Unity and Community

For 30 years, Shree Ganesh Mitra Mandal in Jalgaon has been celebrating Ganeshotsav as a tradition that brings our community together. What began as a celebration of Lord Ganesha has grown into a cherished annual tradition shared by generations of families, children, elders and young members of our community. Every year, the arrival of Ganpati Bappa brings a special atmosphere of devotion and togetherness. From the installation and daily aarti to cultural activities, community games, quizzes and gatherings, every part of the celebration gives people an opportunity to participate and celebrate together. One of the most meaningful parts of this tradition is that knowledge and customs are passed from elders to the younger generation. Children learn about Lord Ganesha, our traditions and the importance of coming together as a community. The celebration is not limited to worship—it creates memories, strengthens relationships and keeps our local cultural traditions alive. As Shree Ganesh Mitra Mandal celebrates its 30th year, we look back with gratitude at the generations who have contributed to this tradition and look forward to continuing it for the generations to come. For us, Ganeshotsav is not just a festival; it is a part of our community’s identity, memories and shared heritage. Ganpati Bappa Morya!
