This year I bought a house for my family, so we had the idea to build a small house for Bappa as well, placing his idol inside a detailed model of a traditional home with a tiled roof and wooden balconies. Bright orange flower garlands are draped around his neck and the pillars of the miniature house, while colorful flags hang overhead. Tall brass lamps stand on either side, and fruits and small offerings rest on the grass below. This is how we welcomed Bappa this year.
